I picked up my first netball in primary school at the age of nine and immediately begged my parents to let me join the local club. Ever since then, I can’t remember a time in my life when I haven’t been completely immersed in the sport.
My love for netball quickly grew beyond simply playing. At 14, I stepped into my first coaching role with a youth team at my local club - and I never looked back. It was through coaching that I discovered something bigger than my own enjoyment of the game. I realised I could not only pass on my passion for netball but also make a meaningful difference to how players access, experience and develop within the sport. I became fascinated by learning more myself - improving my knowledge, understanding performance more deeply, and finding better ways to help athletes unlock their potential. From that point on, I was hooked.
I’ve been fortunate to experience netball from many different perspectives, both as a player and coach. From assisting international coaches at summer camps and working alongside NSL coaches within franchise and university programmes, to competing in the National Premier League, every experience has shaped the coach I am today. Alongside building NET, I am currently the Head Coach of the London Mavericks U19 National Performance League squad and work with the Performance Squad at the University of Hertfordshire. Since joining the university programme, we have reached two BUCS Championship finals - an experience that has reinforced my passion for helping athletes perform and thrive within high-performance environments.
I have continued to invest heavily in my own development as a coach, qualifying as an England Netball Level 3 Coach and a Level 4 Strength and Conditioning Coach. For me, coaching is about continual learning - staying curious, evolving and always looking for better ways to support athletes. But wherever I have coached and whoever I have worked alongside, one belief has always remained consistent: players need clear technical and tactical progression to truly improve. Athletes deserve to understand the why behind their training. Developing fundamental skills, and understanding how these connect to the tactical side of the game is what creates confident, intelligent performers on court.
That belief became the foundation for NET - Netball Excellence Training. In 2020, during lockdown, I created an online training platform designed to help players continue developing from home. For 12 weeks, I showed up online delivering Instagram lives, creating home training programmes and even hosting what became the first virtual netball camp.
What started as a response to challenging circumstances quickly became something much bigger. I realised there was a genuine gap in the sport - a need for a dedicated training platform where players could build fitness, strength, speed and confidence while accessing high-quality coaching beyond traditional training environments. Since then, NET has grown into a performance platform supporting players of all ages and abilities all over the world. Whether athletes join us through the NET Membership, enrol in one of our academies across London, Essex and Hertfordshire, or attend camps and masterclasses, the mission has remained the same: to give players the tools, knowledge and confidence to elevate their game.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief - excelling on court is about more than attending training sessions. It’s about the commitment, consistency and extra work athletes choose to invest outside of match play. For me, there is no ceiling on performance. With the right support, knowledge and willingness to work hard, athletes are capable of far more than they often realise.
